This was interesting. Someone came up with a great idea to test ourselves. Pic your favorite character and for Hard Mode: draw them in 5 minutes, no sketching and no erasing. 10 minutes if you plan to color. Insane Mode: Hard mode using your non-dominant hand (left for me). Well, I manned up and went for both! And holy shit drawing with my left hand is impossible. Really hard. But I was able to give Ghost Rider a mustache! A sweet, glorious, southern gentlemanly mustache!
This drawing went over surprisingly well. Did not expect that. Hell, I don't even think it's that great of a GR pic, but I like the activity done. So here's the result.
I plan on pissing off all my 5th graders on Wednesday doing this project with them. Going to screw them all up royally.
11 minutes. Photoshop CS2 and Wacom Graphire 4 tablet.
what I've noticed is "implied" stuff goes over big there. sketchier type stuff. Gets over with me too by the way. I love when an artist can imply some shit that isn't actually rendered (like the jacket seams and some of the skull def). also doing small things like making the yellow go outside of the line give it that "oomph"
