Heroic Inks

So at the beginning of the week I found a bunch of 5 inch by 8 inch blank index cards and felt inspired to do some ink and wash work. I took this shitty calligraphy ink I have, some very shitty brushes I have, and just went at it. Who needs to sketch, right? Are these great? No. But I think it shows that I have a potential to do will with ink work if I were to get some better brushed (ones I haven't destroyed over the last decade plus).

So, my question to you, what are some good, reasonably priced brushes that's good for inking illustrations? Or for perhaps some acrylic, watercolor and gouache paints? I have separate brushes for my oil paints (which need replacing as well, actually, if my oil paints are even still good to use).

Anyhoo, most of these drawings took no more than 5 minutes each (shows, right?). Venom, Thing and whatever that thing in the lower right corner is took about 10 minutes each. No pencil work whatsoever, all ink and brush drawings. I have a few others that I think stand out on their own that I will post later on.
